Calling All Organisations/Special Schools in Ireland who provide services for people with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy…
Does your Organisation / Special Schools/ Centre/ that supports people with Cerebral palsy ?Last year, 40 cerebral palsy organisations from 28 countries joined in World CP Day. This year, we’re aiming for 70 organisations from 45 countries to be part of this exciting global event.

World Cerebral Palsy Day – Wednesday 2 October 2013.

World Cerebral Palsy Day is an innovative way for 17 million people with CP to tell the world what they need to make their lives better and it’s a way to turn some of those ideas into reality.

Organisations from America, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Finland, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Niger, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Singapore, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, St Lucia, Sweden, Turkey and the UK have joined together to support World Cerebral Palsy Day.

We believe ‘Change my world in 1 minute’ will inspire advocates globally to continue working for people with cerebral palsy. There is No charge to join and you can access resources such as a marketing kit, posters, flyers and digital images.

Each organisation/Centre/School will be showcased on our social media platforms and logos will be displayed on the World CP Day website with a link to each organisation’s website.

WALK FUNDRAISING: AN OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD COMMUNITY

WALK has supported the community since 1967 and has recently identified an opportunity to provide further support through regenerating a disused building and gardens in Dublin. When complete this new multi-use community facility aims to improve many aspects of life including new opportunities for lifelong learning, increased awareness and action around health and wellbeing, greater economic and social inclusion all while stimulating community engagement and encouraging community based activities which will enhance society.

This project is supported by WALK and clearly match our organisational vision and mission which is fundamentally about a better society, about more supportive and inclusive communities, and enhanced lives for everyone.
