To ask the Chief Executive to provide a Cleansing Schedule for Newcastle village?
REPLY:
The Council’s road sweeping contractor, Oxigen Environmental Ltd., sweeps and litter picks the main roads in and around Newcastle Village including the main street on a monthly basis.
The Council’s own public realm maintenance staff carry out occasional clean up tasks in the area and assist the local RAMS group in their community clean up work by providing asistance to them by removing waste which they collect. In addition to the this the litter bins in Newcastle Village area are emptied 2 to 3 times per week depending on usage.
