General Election

 ”Dublin Mid West Community Facilities”

I am calling for 1) a swimming pool for Lucan 2) a permanent facility for Bawnogue boxing club in Clondalkin and esker boxing club in Lucan 3) an Astro Turf at Knockmitten in Clondalkin 4) a park and playspace for Newcastle 5) a library for Rathcoole 6) A sports and Community hall at Adamstown Community College

”Taxation”

I am calling for 1) a Wealth Tax 2) a revamp and review of the tax system 3) an end to water charges 4) an end to Property tax 5) a Living wage not a minimum wage (The 2015 Living Wage rate is €11.50 per hour.) 6) Social Justice Budgets 7) a detailed list of where tax paid goes

”Homelessness”

I am calling for 1) a public and private partnership to build houses on a large scale 2) the release of housing from Nama on a large scale , 3) An Emergency Hostel and 4) a woman’s refuge

”Employment”

I am calling for 1) sustainable long term jobs 2) lower rates for new start of companies for first 3 years of business 3) the phasing out of interns and jobsbridge and introduction of a one year work experience and training year for long term unemployed. This should be paid at the Living wage rate 4) Introduce a model of childcare that encourages employment

”Disability”

I am calling for the enactment of 1) Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2013 and 2) The Special Educational Needs Act 2004 3) an end to institutionalised Living

”Justice and equality”

I am calling for 1) section 37 of equality act to go, 2) justice for survivors of Magdalene Laundries and mother and baby homes 3) an end to the system of direct provision 4) The Decimalisation of drugs 5) a referendum on The Eighth Amendment of the Constitution of Ireland 6) Travellers to be recognised as an ethnic minority 7) Equality for Women (http://www.francistimmons.com/breakthrough-manifesto-for-women/)

”Social Protection’

I am calling for 1) no cuts to old age pensions 2) no cuts to disability allowances 3) scrap entitlements to anyone on over €100,000 to children’s allowance or such allowances. 4) review all entitlements

 ‘Health services”

I am calling for 1) a full review and cuts at management levels in HSE 2) An open and transparent system of ordering products and more cost effective 3) immediate extra beds to cater for A & E overcrowding and waiting times on trolleys 4) A full review of the HSE and a full value for money audit 5) a Review of HIQA
