QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons
To ask the Chief Executive to consider displaying the Proclamation and Irish flag at both county hall and SDCC Clondalkin during 1916 commemoration, also to ask for an update on 1916 celebration plans.
REPLY:
Arrangements for the installation of a flag pole in the civic space at the front of the Clondalkin Civic Offices are currently being examined by the Council’s Architects Department. The display of the Irish Proclamation in civic buildings owned by the Council will be brought to the commemorations committee for their consideration. A comprehensive presentation and report on the South Dublin 2016 Centenary Programme was made at the October Council Meeting.
