Monday, March 09, 2015

QUESTION NO. 29

QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons

To ask the Chief Executive, following South Dublin County Council’s decision to waive its fee for installing “children at play” signage in residential estates within the local authority, can a report be given to how many signs have been put up and give a timetable as when to areas will be done and plans to roll this out throughout SDCC?

REPLY:

It was decided in late 2014 to waive fees for the stallation of Children at play signs at the entrances to estates. A list of such locations at the entrances to estates was included in the traffic works programme in 2015 which was presented to each area committee in February and is currently before this meeing of the Council as part of the County wide works works programme for 2015. It is a rolling programme which is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Some of the works may be completed sooner.
