QUESTION NO. 12

QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons

To ask if South Dublin County Council can put recycling banks in North Clondalkin near Finches public house also can a full list of the Recycling initiative  for the Clondalkin Area be given?

REPLY:

It is an objective of the Council’s community recycling strategy that a site for a glass recycling bring bank be established in North Clondalkin, however it has not been possible to date to find a suitable location.  The general area referred to here, near the junction of Neilstown Road and Collinstown Road, has been examined and no suitable location can be identified.  The Council will continue it’s efforts to identify a suitable site and any assistance in this search will be gratefully accepted.

Current locations of glass recycling sites in the Clondalkin are as follows –

Corkagh Park (2 locations)

Quarryvale Community Centre

The Mill Shopping Centre

Camac Valley

Bawnogue Enterprise Centre.
