MOTION NO. 5
MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons
“That this committee calls on SDCC to accept and act on the comment from Tidy Towns Adjudicators that ”The Monastery Park Estate, has some great quality lime trees on the roadside margins with many low branches, some of which should be removed next winter to make it easier for pedestrians and cyclists.”
REPORT:
The trees at Monastery Park Estate have been inspected recently by the Council’s Parks Supervisor for the area. The trees at this location were pruned in Spring 2016 and are not considered to require further maintenance at this time. The growth of the trees will be monitored and any future remedial works will be carried out as necessary.
