MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons
”That this Council agrees that once a Motion is passed that SDCC has fourteen days to draft a timeline for implementation”
REPORT:
Once a Motion has been Agreed at any meetings of the Council, Area Committee or OP&F meetings, a commitment is entered on our CMAS system, referring the Agreed Motion details to the relevant staff / department for appropriate action and follow up. All commitments remain open on the CMAS system until such time as the action is carried out and the commitment closed. On closing, an update is provided to outline the implementation of the action.
The Commitments entered on the CMAS system are responded to at the earliest possible date. However, some can require substantial preparatory work to determine the appropriate implementation of a motion, whereas others are implemented within in a matter of days. This variance in the level of complexity does not facilitate a standard reporting timeline, which would delay the implementation of some motions and rush the planning required for others.
