MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons
“That the Chief Executive presents a report to this committee on how what’s left of the old Naas Road can be preserved and that it is added to the list of preserved structures.”
REPORT:
I note the planning history for the site provides for the replacement of the existing low wall with a boundary wall which serves as a noise barrier. The remains of the wall do not meet the criteria for inclusion on the Record of Protected Structures (RPS) as set out in the Architectural Heritage Protection Guidelines nor was this wall identified under the review of the RPS as part of the current County Development Plan review.
