Cllr Francis Timmons – Independent Voice

pruning the trees in Cappaghmore

MEETING OF CLONDALKIN AREA COMMITTEE

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

MOTION NO. 18

MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

“That this area committee asks that priority be given to pruning the trees in Cappaghmore estate as a matter of urgency to allow street lighting to illuminate the area to a satisfactory and safe level.”

REPORT:

Cappaghmore Estate is not included on the current 2015 Tree Maintenance Programme for tree works.  This programme is fully committed and remains ongoing.  A survey of all of the trees in Cappaghmore Estate will be undertaken to determine the extent of the requirement for tree maintenance and to inform the prioritisation of the estate in a future programme of tree maintenance.  The survey will take account of proximity of trees to the public lighting columns in the area and identify any remedial action required.
