MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons
“This Committee fully supports Knockmitten United FC and their efforts to secure funding for an astro-turf pitch located on the old basketball court beside Knockmitten Community Centre. We urge senior management in both Environment and Community Services to do everything in their power to ensure that the land ownership issue is resolved and planning permission is in place in advance of the next round of Sports Capital Funding.”
REPORT:
The Council’s Law Department is currently pursuing the transfer of the title of the lands into Council ownership. Documentation is also currently being prepared for the Part 8 Public Consultation process in relation to this project.
